Chili Cheese Dog Casserole

Chili Cheese Dog Casserole A new take on chili cheese dogs.Get the recipe from lovefoorecipes Canned chili and crescent dough makes this recipe ridiculously easy. If you’ve got a little more time on your hands, fancy it up with our best Beef Chili Recipe instead of the canned stuff.I made this EXACTLY as is, and I thought it was pretty tasty!!! There actually was one tiny discrepancy, that I didn’t have a full pound of hot dogs. I used Wolf brand chili, but next time I’ll try the hot dog chili instead, just to see how it tastes. I didn’t have the problem others stated about the corn bread being dry.

(8-oz.) can refrigerated crescent dough
hot dogs
1 c. shredded cheddar
(15-oz.) cans chili
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1 tsp. finely chopped chives
1/2 tsp. garlic powder

  1. Preheat oven to 375°. Roll out crescent dough and pinch the perforations together to seal. Cut into 8 even squares. Sprinkle cheddar on each square and roll around hot dogs.
  2. Spread chili in an even layer on the bottom of a 9″-x-13″ baking dish. Place hot dogs in a row side by side on top of chili.
  3. In a small bowl combine melted butter with onion powder and chives. Brush over hot dogs and place in the oven to bake for 30 minutes, covering with foil if the crescent dough begins to get too dark.
  4. Top with more chives and serve.
